My name is Andrea. I love to run, sew, knit, craft, read, garden and cook. I am a mom of 2 spirited and gifted kids. About 11 years ago I made the decision to leave my career and become a stay-at-home mom. It wasn’t something I every planned on, it just worked out that way and I’m glad I had the chance to do so. It opened up a whole new world of opportunity and I discovered a few talents I never knew I had (like knitting).
I currently reside in the Upper Midwest where I share my home with my kids, husband, 2 cats and a dog. I have a degree in history and have studied interactive media design.
I started this blog to keep track of my knitting and sewing projects, recipes, gardening and running successes and failures, and books I’ve read. I sometimes share funny stories from around our house or random thoughts that pop into my head while knitting.
I hope these stories and musings will inspire you to live an active, creative and thoughtful life. I love to hear from you, so please comment and share your thoughts. All views are welcome as long as they are respectful and do not attempt to proselytize.
The Fine Print
From time-to-time, I review books on this blog. I pay for all these books out of my own pocket, or I check them out from our local library. I buy and read them because I want to – they interest me, and I would have read them regardless. I create links to to these books on Amazon partly for your convenience, but I also get paid a commission if you choose to purchase it. The posts are not intended for advertising purposes, they are for the purpose of sharing a book I enjoyed, and/or recording progress in my annual reading challenges.
All reviews are my own. They fully reflect my honest opinion and are not influenced in any way by the author or advertiser.
